Unicef, nel 2024 più alto numero di gravi violazioni su bambini

I woke up to find a place covered with dust,” she said. “I realized I was injured. My leg was burnt, and I was in severe pain,” Sila added, “But when the doctor arrived, he amputated it.”

ROMA, 26 GIU - Nel 2024 le Nazioni Unite hanno verificato il più alto numero di gravi violazioni contro i bambini. C'è stato un aumento del 25% rispetto al 2023, anno in cui c'era stato il numero più alto mai registrato. In Israele e nello Stato di Palestina, nel 2024, sono state accertate oltre 8.000 gravi violazioni. Lo ha detto la direttrice dell'Unicef per la protezione dell'infanzia Sheema Sen Gupta al dibattito al Consiglio di Sicurezza delle Nazioni Unite. In aumento l'uso di armi esplosive nelle aree popolate, rappresentando oltre il 70% di tutti gli episodi di uccisioni e mutilazioni. Le violenze sessuali contro i bambini sono aumentate del 35% nel 2024.
