NEW YORK, 16 GIU - L'Ucraina a corto di truppe sta liberando i criminali nelle carceri per combattere sulle prime linee: da quando è stata adottata la legge in maggio, Kiev ha liberato più di 2.750 carcerati, inclusi spacciatori e assassini. Lo riporta il Washington Post, sottolineando che l'uso di criminali è l'ennesima conferma delle difficoltà dell'Ucraina di reclutare nuove forze. I carcerati possono solo combattere nelle brigade d'assalto, il che può significare trovarsi faccia a faccia con i soldati russi, e possono servire solo in divisioni composte da ex carcerati e guidate da un soldato.
