NEW YORK, 27 AGO - "Il mondo guarda con orrore alla situazione nei Territori Palestinesi Occupati che continua a deteriorarsi a livelli mai visti nella storia recente". Lo ha detto il vice coordinatore speciale Onu per il processo di pace in Medio Oriente, Ramiz Alakbarov alla riunione del Consiglio di Sicurezza. "A oltre ventidue mesi dall'inizio delle ostilità, Gaza sta sprofondando sempre più nel disastro, segnato da un rapido aumento delle vittime civili, sfollamenti di massa e, ora, carestia. Gli ostaggi tenuti da Hamas e da altri gruppi armati palestinesi continuano a languire in condizioni spaventose - ha aggiunto - Nel frattempo, anche la Cisgiordania occupata, compresa Gerusalemme Est, sta affrontando una crisi senza precedenti. L'incessante espansione degli insediamenti, le demolizioni e l'intensificarsi della violenza continuano a minare qualsiasi prospettiva di pace".
