ROMA, 12 FEB - Il keniano Kelvin Kiptum, detentore del record mondiale di maratona, è morto ieri notte in un incidente stradale, insieme al suo allenatore: lo riporta il Guardian. Il 24enne, che aveva vinto la maratona di Londra ad aprile prima di stabilire il record del mondo a Chicago in ottobre, ha perso il controllo della sua auto mentre guidava a Kaptagat, nel sud-ovest del Kenya, alle 23:00 ora locale (le 21:00 in Italia). Nell'incidente è morto anche il suo allenatore, Gervais Hakizimana, mentre una terza persona è stata trasportata d'urgenza in ospedale.
