Il Papa, profondo dolore per attentato a chiesa in Congo

Violence between the anti-Balaka and Seleka rebel groups continues despite the ceasefire agreement signed in Congo Brazzaville on 24 July. Thousands have been killed in the conflict since 2013 with nearly a million being forced from their homes. Bambari, controlled by the Muslim-majority Seleka, has seen some of the heaviest fighting in the country in the past month and is now considered a fault line dividing the Christian-dominated south from the mostly Muslim-dominated north.
