TEL AVIV, 14 MAG - L'esercito israeliano ritiene che il comandante della brigata di Rafah, Mohammad Shabaneh, e alti esponenti del gruppo terroristico tra cui - secondo fonti arabe - anche il portavoce di Hamas Abu Obeida, si trovassero insieme nel bunker sotto l'Ospedale europeo bombardato ieri sera. Lo riporta Ynet. L'Idf ha preso di mira il tunnel ritenendo che dentro il comando si trovasse Muhammad Sinwar, che ha sostituito il fratello Yahya nella leadership di Hamas dopo il suo assassinio. Ancora non si hanno notizie sul suo destino. Shabana è uno dei comandanti che hanno dato inizio alla guerra.
