NAIROBI, 29 APR - Il bilancio delle vittime dell'inondazione di Mai Mahiu, in Kenya è salito a 71 morti. Lo ha dichiarato alla Cnn la governatrice di Nakuru, Susan Kihika. Mentre si sta ancora scavando nel fango che ha travolto un intero villaggio a nord di Nairobi, dopo che un corso d'acqua è esondato nei pressi di una diga naturale, l'emittente segnala che questa potrebbe essere la peggiore devastazione dall'inizio delle piogge in Kenya il mese scorso. Il portavoce del governo Isaac Mwaura, prima di questa tragedia, aveva confermato che le vittime ufficiali delle alluvioni nel Paese è salita a 103, con oltre 28 mila famiglie sfollate.
