Altri due morti per West Nile in Campania e nel Lazio

ROMA, 11 AGO - Altri due morti per il virus del West Nile in Campania e nel Lazio. Le vittime sono entrambe ultraottantenni ed erano ricoverate in ospedale. Nel nosocomio di Sant'Anna e San Sebastiano di Caserta, è morto un pensionato 83enne , residente a Capua: era stato ricoverato nei giorni scorsi, ma le sue condizioni si sono aggravate fino a provocarne il decesso.Si tratta dell'ottava vittima del virus nel Casertano. Il sindaco di Capua Adolfo Villani ha attivato le procedure per il monitoraggio nell'area dove viveva l'anziano ed emesso un'ordinanza disponendo in via precauzionale la pulizia dei terreni incolti, delle piscine in disuso e di tutte le strutture in grado di sviluppare ristagni d'acqua. La seconda vittima della giornata è un uomo di 85 anni di Cori in provincia di Latina, morto questa mattina all'ospedale Santa Maria Goretti. Il paziente, con patologie concomitanti, era stato ricoverato il 2 agosto scorso in condizioni già critiche. Si tratta del nono decesso per il virus West Nile nel Lazio.
