In Italy, unemployment rates among young workers ranging between the ages of fifteen to twenty-four has reached an unsettlingly high percentage. An education in agricultural sciences is a course of studies that offers students an opportunity to enter the workforce. Addressing current ecological concerns, it can be an alternative way to resolve our economic and environmental problems. It's an important sector which, through modern techniques, can help to redirect our current habits and stimulate our economy.
The agricultural sector must be done differently from that of the past. Our approach must be a scientific one which takes into account environmentally sustainable issues such as the implementation of renewable energies in every day life. Agricultural education prepares individuals for just such services and studies in this ambiance give the possibility to enter a number of other disciplines. These include biology, chemistry, environmental studies, food science, technology, economics and management. Agricultural Studies are pertinent regarding issues such as genetically modified and organic crops, disease epidemics, climate change and renewable energies, all of which are at the forefront of today’s human condition.
